Terms of use
TidyBar is free software, offered as it is.
Last updated 1 January 2026
Short version: use it freely on your own devices, don’t sell it or pass it off as yours, and it comes with no warranty.
Agreement
Downloading or using TidyBar means you accept these terms. If you don’t, don’t install it. Installing it for an employer means you can agree on that organisation’s behalf.
Your licence
You get a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to use TidyBar for personal or commercial purposes on as many devices as you own or control. No key, no registration, no expiry.
You may pass the unmodified installer to someone else, and organisations may deploy it internally without asking first.
What you may not do
- Sell, rent or sublicense the app, or bundle it into a paid product without permission
- Modify, repackage or redistribute an altered build, or present it as your own
- Remove the name, mark or attribution from the app or installer
- Reverse engineer it, except where local law allows
- Use it to break the law or interfere with systems you have no right to touch
Price and availability
TidyBar is free. Platforms marked as soon are intentions, not commitments, and carry no date. Any part of the app may change or be withdrawn.
If a paid version ever appeared it would be a separate product. It would not disable or restrict a copy you already have.
Updates
The app doesn’t update itself or check for versions. New releases are announced here and you install them yourself. Future releases may drop support for older systems; the version you have keeps working.
Ownership
The app, its name, its mark and this site remain ours. You receive a licence to use the software, not rights in it. Other trademarks named here belong to their owners and are used only to describe compatibility.
No warranty
TidyBar is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t warrant it will be uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every setup.
The app moves and hides icons. It does not delete apps or files, but you use it on your own judgement.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for lost data, profits or time. As the app is free, our total liability is limited to what you paid for it.
Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law, and your consumer rights are unaffected.
Ending the licence
Uninstall the app and the licence ends. It also ends automatically if you break these terms. The ownership, warranty and liability sections survive.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, whose courts have jurisdiction, without affecting mandatory consumer rights where you live. If one clause fails, the rest stands.
